Congrats to our friends at AbeBooks! Getting acquired by Amazon ups the ante for start-ups in Victoria and shines the spotlight (at least for a little bit) on where I call home, Vancouver Island. The tech scene in the last couple of years here has seen quite a few new startups and while some have moved away across the puddle, AbeBooks is staying in Victoria. A major win for Victoria and the startup scene here.
